I’m Jason, an entrepreneur and family man living in Missouri. Over the 2+ decades since I entered the workforce, both my main career and my side businesses/hobbies have mostly shared one thing in common: I spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer.
When I was nineteen and in the second or third year of my first job, one which required many hours doing graphic design with a mouse, I felt some coldness and tingling in my right hand. At the time, I thought I had ergonomics figured out already – after all, I had a gel wrist rest! After much tingling, pain, soul-searching, agonizing, and experimenting, I settled on the Contour Design Perfit Mouse, a venerable creature that in some ways defined the genre of ergonomic pointing devices back in the 1990’s. Between this mouse and an equally-antiquated Wacom graphics tablet, I managed for a few years, still thinking that ergonomics meant expensive peripherals and nothing more.
The older I got, and the more hours I logged at my desk, the less my combination of “perfect peripherals” seemed to help me out. Undeterred, I got interested in all kinds of ergonomic computer devices, from simple curved keyboards to wearable mice, voice software, and pointers you operate with your feet or arms. Through a blog similar to this one that I maintained at the time, I had the opportunity to try out of a number of these devices, and found I enjoyed writing about my experiences with them.
Fast-forward to 2026. Having rehomed my old blog (which is now apparently defunct) quite a few years ago, I decided to start writing about ergonomics again. Since I’ve personally used more ergonomic computer devices in my life than most people will ever have the opportunity to do, I hope others are able to benefit from my experience.
When you look to Ergonomic Info for guidance in your own research and on your own journey, there are some things you can count on:
- I only write about things I have personally tried.
- While factories sometimes give me free samples, I do not accept compensation for positive reviews. My time is paid for by affiliate ads, so if you want to leave me a tip, click one and buy something you wanted anyway.
- To hold myself accountable for the above, I disclose as part of every review how I got the device and what happened to it after I was done reviewing.
- All the content here is written by a human (namely me) with zero AI assistance in writing or editing. I prefer to keep my humanity, and honor yours.
Happy reading, and comfy computing!
